The autumn wind is cool, and Osmanthus fragrans are fragrant. At 10 a.m. on September 15, in order to actively respond to the call of epidemic prevention and control, the opening ceremony of grade 2020 freshmen of pharmacy college was held online and offline. All members of the leading group, heads of departments, teachers' representatives, counselors of all grades and representatives of Freshmen of grade 2020 attended the offline ceremony, while the rest of the students attended the online ceremony. Liang Gang, Secretary of the college Party committee, presided over the meeting.
After the solemn national anthem was played, the opening ceremony officially opened. President Shi Bingyang first congratulated and welcomed the students, then introduced the general situation of Henan University, and described the development and achievements of the College of pharmacy in recent years. He pointed out that new students should be proud of being a member of Henan University, seize the opportunity in campus life, temper themselves in exercises and realize their own value. And put forward three hopes: first, we should aim high and pursue excellence; second, we should do better than words and have the courage to innovate; third, we should improve our personality and constantly strive for self-improvement.
Xu Mei, a famous teacher of Henan University and winner of the special prize in the four consecutive teaching quality competitions, pointed out in her speech that it is not easy for students to rush through the college entrance examination in the epidemic situation. Congratulations on your satisfactory results in the examination, and gave two idioms to new students -- "being poor and being strong" and "practicing hard". The former is to affirm students' excellent achievements in special circumstances, and the latter is to praise students The expectation of the students for the next four years of University and three years of graduate students is that everyone should personally practice and explore the truth of learning. I believe students will feel a will to face difficulties and a quality of diligence from these two idioms.
Qian Yutong, a student representative of grade 2019, told the students not to be influenced by the past and the environment, but to take the initiative to adapt to the environment, persist in learning, and cultivate their ability. No pains, no gains. Say goodbye to yesterday, grasp today, and look forward to tomorrow. I hope that students will boldly embark on the journey of seeking dreams!
Zhen Ruoyan, a new student of grade 2020, first of all thanks the leaders, teachers and seniors of the school of pharmacy for their warmth and care like home. He is also very proud to come to Henan University, a place full of simple and elegant atmosphere. This is a new journey. We will be looking forward to setting up our ideal sail here. In this fertile land of Henan University, we will be able to make great achievements!
In his concluding speech, Liang Gang stressed that the motto of Henan University "to be moral, to be new, to be good" comes from the opening chapter of the Confucian classic "University": to be moral, to be close to the people, to be good ". This is the mind and spirit of the University. Please remember and abide by it. He also urged the students to adapt to the new study life as soon as possible; strive to improve their comprehensive quality and promote their all-round development; enhance their sense of social responsibility and historical mission; and deeply understand the bone and blood connection between individual and collective, individual and society, individual and country.
