The College of pharmacy was established in 1956, amalgamated with Henan University in 2000 to start undergraduate education in pharmacy, began enrolling graduate students in 2003, and was approved for the doctoral grant point in 2015 for the second level discipline of pharmaceutical systems biology.After more than 60 years of development, the pharmaceutical college has become the standing director unit of the pharmaceutical education branch of the Chinese Academy of education, the vice secretary general unit of the national du sec industry technology innovation strategy alliance, the vice secretary general unit of the Professional Committee on traditional Chinese medicine education of the Chinese Academy of traditional Chinese medicine, the vice secretary general unit of the Henan Provincial Pharmaceutical Association, the principal Committee on traditional Chinese medicine resources of the Henan Provincial Pharmaceutical Association, and the Henan ProvincialVice head unit, association of practicing pharmacists.In June 2005, Changxiao Liu academicians were hired to serve as honorary Dean of the College of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

There are 101 existing faculty members of the college, of whom 18 are professors and 45 associate professors, 53 have a PhD teacher, 8 a PhD mentor, and 59 a master's mentor.Dual recruits 1 member; one hundred program talents from Henan Province; seven Yellow River scholars and college specially appointed professors; seven national experts in new drug and health food and cosmetic review; five national experts in practicing pharmacists; five working experts in Henan Province practicing pharmacists; two academic and technical leaders from Henan Province; one innovative talents from Henan Province; two innovative talents from Henan Province higher education institutions; and one academic student from Henan Provincial Education Department6 technical leaders.Currently, 925 are full-time undergraduate students.

The college has 4 undergraduate specialties in pharmacy, pharmacometrics, traditional Chinese medicine, and clinical pharmacy.Holds a PhD grant point for the second level discipline of pharmaceutical systems biology, a master's degree grant point and a professional degree grant point for the second level discipline of pharmacy and traditional Chinese medicine, and a master's degree for the major level of education in pharmacy and traditional Chinese medicine (in the field of pharmaceutical health).Chinese medicine and pharmacy are the key first level disciplines in Henan Province.
